  • Overview

    SJS Executives is looking for an enthusiatic and attentive Accounting Clerk.

    This position provides support to the Accounting Staff: communicates effectively, professionally and thoroughly with coworkers; performs administrative tasks, and technical or research duties related to accounting operations.



    • Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
    • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.).
    • Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.
    • Undertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices, checks etc.
    • Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
    • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.
    • Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits.
    • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers.
    • Communicating effectively and confidently at all levels, over the phone, face to face and by email.
    • Act as a comprehensive support function to other departments for ad-hoc tasks and future organizational projects.
    • Undertake other duties from time to time as required by the Leadership Team.
    • Maintain applicant/employee confidentiality in accordance with our data protection policy.
    • Maintain awareness of own developmental needs and hence undertake training as necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • 2 years of related experience in such positions as accountant, bookkeeper, clerk, cashier, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge skills, and abilities.
    • Professional, customer-friendly demeanor and appearance.
    • Must be proficient with MS Office and in accounting/financial recording software.
    • Must have Advanced User skills in MS Excel - 2010 or later. 
    • Must be able to work with minimal up front guidance and take ownership of work product.
    • Must have excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must have analytical, accounting and problem-solving skills.
    • Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
    • Must have excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Associate’s degree or equivalent experience with 2 years of related experience.
