Overview

Mechanical Engineering:

 

Confidential Clearance Required

 

Responsible for the preparation of detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for industrial processes,

air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, compressed air, energy saving and conversion systems, pneumatic transport

systems, control systems, utility systems, fuel oil systems, natural gas systems, pier mechanical systems, and other

systems of major size and complexity of up to MILCON scope for use by Naval Shore Facilities, including multistory

offices and quarters, steam plants, industrial waste treatment plants, ship piers, naval nuclear repair facilities,

aircraft overhaul facilities and a very wide diversion of other structures and facilities.

Responsibilities

Responsible for:


o   The preparation of detailed designs, plans, specifications,

o   Cost estimates for industrial processes,

o   air conditioning,

o   ventilation,

o   plumbing,

o   compressed air,

o   energy saving and conversion systems,

o   pneumatic transport systems,

o   control systems,

o   utility systems,

o   fuel oil systems,

o   natural gas systems,

o   pier mechanical systems,


 

And other systems of major size and complexity of up to MILCON scope for use by Naval Shore Facilities, including:


o   multistory offices

o   and quarters,

o   steam plants,

o   industrial waste treatment plants,

o   ship piers,

o   naval nuclear repair facilities,

o   aircraft overhaul facilities

 


 

And a very wide diversion of other structures and facilities.


Qualifications

  • Confidential Clearance Required
  • Mechanical Engineering: Bachelor Degree in an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology program and
  • Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical systems design
  • Including at least 1 year working on Capital Improvement projects for a Federal Agency.
